Moorhead High School hasn’t had an agriculture education program since the early 1980s. That has changed with the addition of the Moorhead High School Career Academy and the chartering of a new FFA chapter. “We have immense support from our community members and, honestly, we wouldn’t be here without their help,” said John Schmidt, ag teacher. The Career Academy is in its third year and features a close relationship with industry, nurturing a career pathway for students. Five other new charter chapters were recognized Sunday, including Lake Park-Audubon, Henning, Anoka-Hennepin, North Branch and Northfield.
