Over 2,200 students from across the state attended this year’s South Dakota FFA Convention, competing in up to 14 events. “I think the convention has changed so much over the last few years,” said Clayton Sorum, advisor, Tea Area High School FFA Chapter. “It flowed real smooth which is a credit to our leadership.” Sorum thought this year’s convention felt special. “Agriculture is so broad and employs more people than any other industry in the world. That’s why we have so many contests; we’re able to try to give kids a taste of the career path before they go off to college.”
