The Plant Based Products Council held their second conference in Omaha, Nebraska last week. PBPC Executive Director James Glueck said this conference highlights and builds relationships between farmers and processors in the industry. This year’s event had a heavy focus on policy and what the farm bill means for Rural America and members discussed national security. “Food security is paramount for national security, but many of us learned during the covid experience that the Supply chain touches all of our lives,” said Glueck. “Trade is a good thing, but when you can bring some of that manufacturing back to the U.S. and made with things we grow in this country, there’s some supply chain benefit as well.”
