The University of Missouri released its 2024 Spring Farm Income Outlook. While farm income is expected to be down this year, University of Missouri Extension Agricultural Economist Dr. Scott Brown says it is not a dire situation. “We’re coming off of record high prices.” Similar data is still pending in parts of the Midwest, but Brown expects the downturn in the farm economy to be seen in all areas. “There’s more of a price-cost squeeze occurring as we look ahead.”
