The U.S. Grains Council, Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy have filed joint comments with the Brazilian Chamber of Foreign Trade regarding the Brazilian tariff on U.S. ethanol imports. As of the beginning of the year, the Brazilian duty was at 18 percent on U.S. imports. At the same time, Brazilian ethanol has duty-free access to the U.S. market.
