After initial cases in Texas and Kansas dairy herds, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza is now being reported in Michigan. Positive tests were also reported in Idaho and New Mexico on Friday. USDA is saying this is not a concern for human health. The affected cows generally go off feed and milk production suffers for two-to-three weeks before recovering.
