Despite this week’s snow, there are a lot of bare fields in the region. Pioneer District Sales Lead Jesse Moch says the combination of strong winds and warmer weather in the forecast will allow farmers to begin field activity soon. “We’re probably two weeks out from guys starting to get in the field. There’s a little bit left frost, but not too much.” Acreage decisions are still being made. “North Dakota is a lot different from the ‘I’ states, we are still debating crop rotations right up until the minute we plant.”
