Following its review process, USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has determined six biotech crops can be safely grown and bred in the U.S. The list includes a Bayer CropScience canola variety bred for herbicide resistance; a Nuseed canola variety for improved product quality and herbicide resistance and a Michigan State University potato modified for resistance to potato late blight.
