Over 20 Senate Republicans have sent a joint letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai voicing concern about the sharp decline in ag exports. The letter said, “while the Biden Administration continually refuses to pursue traditional free trade agreements, China, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and others continue to ink trade pacts that diminish American export opportunities and global economic influence.” Lawmakers signing the letter include North Dakota Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer and South Dakota Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds.
