In this week’s edition of What’s Hot, What’s Not in the Markets, Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson says stock markets and gold are bright spots in the markets showing a strong economy. “And I’m going to throw corn in the mix,” Martinson said. “We traded above the 20-day moving average. We’ve got the funds covering short positions and we’re going into spring so we should see some risk premium come back into these markets.” Martinson expects to see seasonal highs for corn in April and May with soybeans to follow in May and June. Chicago wheat and the dollar are seeing some weakness. Harvest pressure from Brazil is causing some cooling off in the soybean markets.
