Following a lackluster WASDE report, Total Farm Marketing Market Advisor Brandon Doherty says it’s a bit surprising that wheat held on to gains from earlier in the day through the close of business Friday. “The U.S. numbers are just about as neutral as can be,” Doherty said. Traders will be looking to the report at the end of March for new news. “I think it’s down to weather going forward, and I think it’s down to what planting intentions look like at the end of the month.”
