Consumer Demand Evolves

The potato industry continues to evolve. Northland Potato Associates President Gary Shields says innovation is happening to meet consumer demand. “We’ve seen a little shift with the yellow potatoes on the market and our reds still are what I would consider the best in the world, but there’s been a change with consumers and how they like their (potatoes)packaged.” Northland Potato Associates partnered with the Northland Potato Growers’ Association at the International Crop Expo trade show.
