The 2024 planting season may be on the way sooner than we think. CHS Senior Vice President of Refined Fuels Jason Schwantz says there may be an opportunity to contract fuel prices ahead of time this year. “Those forward contract prices tend to be the lowest this time of year,” said Schwantz. Tensions in the Middle East may mean higher prices into the spring. Right now, fuel prices may be in a lull due to worldwide headlines and overall economics. “I think there is somewhat of a premium built into the market because of that, but I do think prices have come down quite a bit.” Hear the full conversation with Jason Schwantz here.
