After hearing from Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow and Ranking Member John Bozeman, South Dakota Wheat Growers Association Executive Director Karen Assman said it may be difficult to pass a farm bill early this year. “There are all kinds of ideas floating around,” said Assman. “It just sounds like it’s at a stalemate at this point.” SDWGA was in Washington D.C. for the National Association of Wheat Growers Winter Meeting.
