Feeding cattle in cold weather demands additional management. During the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Feeder Council’s Beyond the Bunk Workshop in Towner, NDSU Extension Veterinarian Gerald Stokka said the cattle can acclimate to these conditions. “If you’re looking at cattle in cold weather and they can get out of the wind and you’ve provided some bedding, they’re pretty comfortable.”
