The Port of Duluth-Superior enjoyed its longest navigation season ever. The last cargo for the year was a shipment of beet pulp pellets heading to Ireland. The shipping season out of Duluth lasted 277 days. The St. Lawrence Seaway officially closed on January 5, the latest closing date in history.
