U.S. corn production is record large. “We really did see a stout increase in the yields of corn and beans compared to what they were in November.” said Brian Basting, Advance Trading. “If we look at corn for example, the last report in November was 174.9 yield per acre and it is now at 177.3, that’s a record corn yield.” Corn production was estimated at a record 15.34 billion bushels when the trade was looking for about 15.2 (million bushel crop) so about 130 million bushels above the trade estimate.”
