Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza continues to spread. Nationwide, 10.6 million birds have been affected over the past month according to the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. Of the 63 flocks infected, 37 were commercial operations. Egg prices are still half of what they were during last year’s surge, though prices have risen 12 percent in the last month.
