Farming and ranching is a cyclical business and financial challenges are inevitable. NDSU Vice President of Agricultural Affairs Greg Lardy offered a message of resilience during his address at the Lake Region Extension Roundup. “I think it is really important for our audience to understand some of the foundational components around resiliency and how we best go about bouncing back from those adversities and challenges that we’re going to face; we don’t know when, but they’re going to come our way.” The presentation emphasized the importance of relationships and the ability to find gratitude in our daily lives. “Growing up, my mother suffered from depression and other mental illness challenges,” shared Lardy. “Being able to ask for and get the help you need for those sorts of things is really, really important.”
