Funeral services were held Tuesday for DeSmet, South Dakota beef industry booster Bob Montross. Montross, 76, was a founding board member of a nonprofit group called Beef Bucks. Beef Bucks are pre-paid checks that can be used to purchase beef at restaurants and supermarkets. Montross and his wife, Nancy, were inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.
