Every Minnesota county is included in at least one disaster declaration from this past year, with drought, excessive rain, snow, hail and high winds triggering the disaster program assistance. Minnesota Farm Service Agency Executive Director Whitney Place is encouraging farmers to “be in communication with their local county office.” Low interest loans are available to help replace property or purchase inputs. “The loans are kind of a bridge for someone experiencing one of these disasters.”
