After a ten-month delay, China’s General Administration of Customs has approved 30 U.S. beef and pork establishments for export to China. “This year we hadn’t seen any plant list updates,” said Erin Borror, vice president of economic analysis, U.S. Meat Export Federation. “It was a big sigh of relief.” Borror hopes to see more updates before the end of the year. U.S. pork variety meat exports to China have been strong this year while beef shipments are down 23 percent.
