House Ag Committee Chairman Glen GT Thompson participated in a fireside chat with the American Bankers Association Senior Vice President of Agricultural and Rural Banking Policy, Ed Elfmann. “The point he emphasized on an extension, was don’t think of it as the only thing we’re going to do. The extension sets us up to get a long term Farm Bill done.” There was an emphasis on the multitude of issues that would arise without a renewal. A timeline for a new Farm Bill is still uncertain.
