Burleigh County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent Tyler Kralicek says farmers and ranchers worked overtime to prepare for the snow. “Guys have received anywhere from four-to-eight inches of snow. A lot of ranchers have brought their cattle closer to home and farmers have been doing double time to get harvest done.” Harvest has progressed immensely in the last two weeks. “We projected sunflowers at the upper 2,000 pounds per acre, so that’s really good. Soybeans also did really well, at least 25-to-40 bushels an acre.”
