The 2018 Farm Bill expired at the end of September and the likelihood of an extension is increasing. “I think it’s fair to say that most people have probably acknowledged that there will be an extension,” admitted Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. “The question is the length of that extension.” With the disfunction in the House, Vilsack said it is important to find different funding sources. That would include the Inflation Reduction Act.
