Chris Adams, who farms in the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks area, is in the home stretch with his sugarbeet harvest. Sugar content is variable and tonnage is over 30 tons per acre. Before the sugarbeet harvest began, Adams finished his small grain and most of his edible bean harvest. “We had one quarter of pink beans that started to regrow again after we desiccated them.” Once harvest is complete, the focus will shift to fertilizer application.
