Ed Hegland’s harvest was rained out after receiving over 2.5 inches of rain at his Appleton, Minnesota farm. “I had some fields that just didn’t catch rains all year that were in the 30 bushel an acre range, with other fields in the 50s and 60s.” Despite the high winds that came with this storm system, Hegland says he’s more worried about the mud and standing water disrupting harvest.
