In the state-by-state breakdown, Minnesota corn yields are forecast to average 179 bushels per acre, down 16 bushels per acre from last year. North Dakota’s corn yield is estimated at 136 bushels per acre, up five bushels. North Dakota’s corn acreage is up more than 40 percent from last year. The average corn yield in South Dakota is 147 bushels, per acre, up 15 bushels from 2022. Corn acreage is up 12 percent in South Dakota. For soybeans, Minnesota farmers are harvesting a 48 bushel per acre crop, down two bushels from a year ago. The average soybean yield is 33 bushels per acre in North Dakota and 43 bushels per acre in South Dakota.
