USDA is investing $70 million in partnerships to expand access to conservation assistance to underserved communities. The projects include over $600,000 for Renewing the Countryside to encourage women farmers in Minnesota and Wisconsin to adopt conservation practices. The University of Minnesota was also awarded $236,000 for graduate student/career mentorship to serve small-scale farms in five Midwestern states, including Minnesota. The funding comes from the Inflation Reduction Act.
