Dairy farmers can sign up for a new assistance program from USDA. Minnesota Farm Service Agency Executive Director Whitney Place says this program compensates dairy farmers for disaster-related losses. “Those dairy producers that were faced with dumping milk due to a disaster in the years 2020, 2021, or 2022 have until October 16 to get into USDA to apply for this program and hopefully, it will provide with some assistance for that milk that was lost.”
