Two groups within the House Republican Caucus have reportedly reached an agreement to pass a continuing resolution and avoid a government shutdown. South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson and North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong are included in the handful of lawmakers that put together this deal. This deal is expected to go before the House Rules Committee today and come to the floor for a vote later this week. It remains unknown if there will be enough votes to pass legislation to keep the government funded. The farm bill also expires at the end of the month, but the spending bills are the priority.
