Low water levels on the Mississippi River have slowed barge movement. The Money Farm commodity broker Allison Thompson is concerned about grain movement on the river. “Last year we had the same issue but we ended up getting hurricanes coming through that really relived that issue,” said Thompson. “If you’re looking at the hurricane season right now, it doesn’t look like we’re going to be getting relief so it could end up being a longer term issue than we saw last year.” Thompson joined RRFN for Thursday’s market outlook seminar.
