The Federal Aviation Administration has given its approval for beyond visual line of sight drone flights for uAvionix. These flights will use North Dakota’s first-of-its-kind UAS system called Vantis. Trevor Woods, who leads the Northern Plains UAS test site in Grand Forks, said this is “a significant advance in the evolution of UAS policy, redefining what’s possible in the skies of tomorrow.”
