A federal judge in Minneapolis has dismissed a price-fixing class action lawsuit against Cargill, JBS, Tyson Foods, National Beef Packing and Swift. A group of cow-calf producers filed the lawsuit nearly a year ago, claiming meatpackers conspired to lower cattle prices in 2015. Judge John Tunheim said the cow-calf sector is too far removed from alleged price and supply manipulation to have a standing in the case.
