Despite high interest rates and a pullback in the economy, farmland values remained strong during the second quarter. According to a report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, the value of non-irrigated cropland is up seven percent from one year ago. Farm loan performance remained historically sound through the early part of this year. Farm income is down and the demand for credit has softened.
