Farmers are currently being notified of their application status for the Emergency Grain Storage program. While at Dakotafest, Farm Services Agency Administrator Zach Ducheneaux said the program is over-subscribed. “It’s clear we have more demand than resources, there’s over $1 billion dollars’ worth of applications.” Ducheneaux suggests farmers consider the Farm Storage Facility Loan program. “We’re taking a look at what flexibilities are in the program so that it’s more complimentary to the Emergency Grain Storage Program.”
