According to the USDA South Dakota’s overall farm real estate value averaged $2,920 per acre, up 12 percent from last year. Cropland values followed the same trend, climbing 13 percent at $4,550 per acre. Pastureland also had a more modest increase, valuing at $1,340 per acre, up $110 higher than last year.
