Oahe Grain General Manager Tim Luken says winter wheat harvest is about wrapped up in South Dakota with total production only about 65 percent of last year’s crop. “Test weights are a little over 59 lbs., so we’re 2-3 lbs. less than last year and a percent and a half higher on the protein.” In the meantime, spring wheat harvest is just starting in the Onida area.
