During a Farmfest forum Tuesday, Chief Agricultural Trade Ambassador Doug McKalip painted a positive story about the Biden Administration’s trade policy. A question came from the audience about the potential for new trade agreements. “Our goal in regards to the Indo-Pacific is to complete work in November which is a herculean task to get an agreement of that size and scope in place in one year’s time.” The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework includes 14 countries in the region to facilitate trade. McKalip also said the Administration will keep “our foot on the gas pedal” to keep the supply chain moving.
