Chris Brossart, who farms near Wolford, North Dakota, started with his preharvest herbicide application in his wheat this past week. Harvest will begin soon. “The small grain crops in our area are shorter-than-normal for height with a lot of it maybe 20-to-30 inches tall, but it looks like the heads filled well overall on the main stem of the plant. We’re hopeful for an average crop.”
