North Dakota State Veterinarian Dr. Ethan Andress has confirmed the state’s first positive case of Anthrax in a Grant County beef herd. Andress recommends producers in the affected area consult with their veterinarian and utilize vaccines. Anthrax has historically been found in every part of the state, but reported most frequently in northeast, southeast, and south-central North Dakota. Two cases of Anthrax were last reported in North Dakota in 2021.
