Minot, farmer Pat Murphy is happy with the canola crop. “Like most crops, we could use a drink of water, but the earlier seeded stuff is in full bloom and some is actually starting to shut down.” Murphy, who serves on the Northern Canola Growers Association board, said the weather has influenced the fungicide treatments. “There’s been very little fungicide applied because the surface moisture has been low.”
