The Farm Service Agency is facing a significant staffing shortage. “The FSA and federal government can provide a lot of different benefits in terms of healthcare, retirement plans and things like that, but we’re not super competitive on salaries,” said Whitney Place, State Executive Director, Minnesota FSA. “We’re doing what we can administratively to help retain and attract talent.” Place credits FSA Administrator Zach Ducheneaux for his efforts to address the compensation challenge.
