The Reliable Rail Service Act has been reintroduced in the U.S. Senate. Wisconsin Democrat Tammy Baldwin and Kansas Republican Roger Marshall are behind this piece of legislation. The bill clarifies the common carrier obligation, which has been blamed for high costs and unreliable rail service. More than 50 agriculture and trade groups have given their support to this proposal.
