As businesses become more digitized, securing data takes on more importance. North Dakota Chief Information Security Officer Michael Gregg addressed the 2023 Bushel Buddy Seat Conference saying agriculture is not immune to hacking and security threats. “Thirty-seven percent of businesses in the last year reported being impacted by ransomware in some way. That’s a huge number.” Taking time to secure passwords and vet emails before opening links are all necessary steps to staying secure. “We’ve got to work to improve our security posture. There’s a lot we’re doing, but we can always do more.”
