According to the USDA, there will be significantly less beef available in 2024 than in 2023. Per capita supply of beef in 2000 was around 68 pounds per person. This year that supply is expected to be 57 pounds, down 16 percent. USDA thinks by 2024, that domestic supply will drop another 7.4 percent.
