U.S. grain prices are not competitive globally. Abbott Futures market analyst Ron McDaniel is seeing demand erosion. “China cancelled another 272,000 tons of corn so that’s a negative and we continue to be way too high priced on soybeans.” Even wheat is displacing demand for corn. “We’re feeding wheat out east instead of corn, so at the end of the day, we’re in a down trend.”
