NDSU Extension Livestock Specialist Karl Hoppe says mud is once again a challenge. “Most cattle haven’t been put out to sod so it’s a challenge and it’s so hard to get a dry environment right now.” Hoppe says sickness rates ramp up with wet, cold weather. “We always run into health issues like pneumonia, and especially scours.”
