Weather over the weekend brought moisture to the region with rain totals anywhere from just a trace in the southern Valley to over 2 inches in the James River area. North Dakota Agriculture Weather Network Director Daryl Ritchison says in some places that may have been slightly dry are maybe seeing excess moisture now. “If you go deep down 8 to 12 inches, which no one really needs right now, that’s going to have to get replenished at some point.” Temperatures remain the top concern as planting progress continues, but we should see a warming trend in the coming weeks with chances of spotty precipitation. Ritchison says rain totals and more weather information is available at ndawn.info. Listen to the full weather outlook from Daryl Ritchison here.
