Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan was in the hot seat Wednesday, taking questions from the House Agriculture Committee. Regan was asked about the use of E15 during the summer months. “We tried to ramp it up in a timely fashion to have 2023 included, but we’re probably just not going to be able to do that,” said Regan. “We’ll be looking at the same thing we looked at last year which is a case-by-case analysis of whether or not E15 will be needed in 2023 and in that case, we’d have to use our emergency waiver.” Regan refused to say if he would make a decision on E15 in time for this summer driving season.
